Experiencing a Session in the Words of a Client

Describe the session in a physical sense?

“Before the session started I was open to understand more about the body work that Franco works with, So during the session I felt that my whole body responded on a physical basis, I could feel in particular my heart, neck and around my head the sense of physical touch really heighten these areas.”

Now in a more emotional sense?

“My experience was he touched every side of my emotional body, from laughing, sexuality, sensual, and crying I felt a huge realise in my emotions with more of awareness of grief from my heart and back area.”

What emotions came up for you during the session?

“Sadness, It was like I couldn't hold onto the pain any longer. When he worked on the left side of my body, it was like he picked up the pain and forced me to look at it. The laughter I felt when he worked around my arms was like I was 5 years old again and exploring my own sense of the world, a playful energy that I could have stayed for longer with.”

Did your body have a message for you?

“Yes it was holding so much pain from my early years (scared) and past relationships that I couldn't fight during the session (control).”

How did you feel right after the session?

“I felt i was in a Vata (dosha) state and almost trance/light. It was like I had to ground myself, that I have shredded a part of my pain.”

Why was this different to other body work you have experienced before?

“It allowed me to really tune into all the senses of my body, the touch, the sounds that I created, the expressions I had, and the array of emotions from laughing to crying was extremely powerful. Overall I felt more expressive, and less worried about whether I was doing things right.”

To you, what does the phrase 'the body knows' mean?

People will take a tablet and put a plaster over the wounds of the body, however the body will force you to look and notice it in the end.
